Our first flag day in Hong Kong district aims to enlist your help and support to creating more harmonious family environment. Harmony House’s comprehensive services include community education a better communication to reduce domestic violence, which affects, women, men, children and elderly. Globally, 1 in 3 women has experienced physical, psychological, or sexual violence, with most perpetrators being intimate partners or acquaintances.
Every day, there are at least 2 children in Hong Kong who endure or witness domestic violence, with most abusers being their parents or caregivers.

A mother, with her two-year-old daughter, hides in a cold corner in the dead of night, silently crying. Her heart is filled with despair and fear. Her two-year-old daughter witnesses the arguments and harm between her parents. Her childhood, which should be filled with laughter, is lost in the ugliness of violence.

Established in 1985, Harmony House was the first organization in Hong Kong to provide shelter services for battered women and their children. Since then, it has developed into a one-stop domestic violence prevention and treatment center, providing a wide range of preventive, therapeutic and developmental services to help families affected by domestic violence, as well as promoting harmonious and healthy family relationships through different kinds of community education activities. It also promotes harmonious and healthy family relationships through various community education activities. In addition, the organization provides training for multi-disciplinary professionals and advocates for policy and law reform.
