Dax & Family
This is Dax & Family’s first collaboration with Harmony House to create unique characters for our flag stickers and the gold-flag memorabilia. The very adorable characters especially created for Harmony House show warmth and care. They depict the daily lives that everyone would like to have capturing moments of joy and togetherness. Their pictures resonate with you and I, evoking happiness and pleasant family ties.
Dax and Bubbie—a compassionate and caring couple in the community foster strong and harmonious relationships with neighbors. They actively extend kindness beyond their immediate circle, promoting volunteerism and inspiring others to help out at Harmony House.
Their dedication is particularly evident in their commitment to supporting individuals affected by domestic violence. Through their leadership, they encourage participation from various service beneficiaries, including abused women, men and children, individuals who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence, children from divorced families, children with special educational needs, and low-income or welfare-supported families.
Throughout their volunteer work, Dax and Bubbie prioritize children's safety, offering patient and heartfelt encouragement to all participants. Their presence fosters a sense of acceptance and belonging, helping individuals rebuild confidence and find hope in life.
Flag Sticker Characters
Dax is a cheerful and caring young man who is always thoughtful and attentive to his family and friends. He has a natural ability to bring joy to those around him, especially to Bubbie and their close friends.
Bubbie is gentle, kind-hearted, and always willing to help others. She has a deep love for children and often volunteers to tutor the neighborhood kids, offering them guidance and support in their studies.
Together, Dax and Bubbie form a loving and empathetic couple, embodying warmth, compassion, and a strong sense of community.
Mike is the son of Dax and Bubbie’s neighbor. As a child, he has witnessed his father committing domestic violence against his mother. Now, with his parents being divorced, his mother has become the sole provider for their family, working long hours every day to make ends meet.
Recognizing the challenges faced by their single-mother
neighbor, Dax and Bubbie stepped in to help—pick Mike up from school and tutor him in his studies. With their ongoing care and support, Mike, who once feared interacting with strangers, gradually gained confidence and began learning how to build social connections.
Bubbie's love and care provided Mike with immense support and encouragement, helping him feel warmth and secured during difficult times. Her attentive guidance and patience not only helped Mike to improve academically but also taught him how to communicate and build connections with others.
Bubbie's dedication and kindness became a precious gift in Mike's journey of growth. Through her actions, she proved that genuine companionship has the power to help a child thrive.
A little more respect and understanding among individuals can make a community more harmonious and inclusive.
Dax treats all his neighbors with genuine care and respect, and his relationship with Mike is no exception. With his unconditional support, kindness, and encouragement, Dax makes Mike feel valued and empowered, allowing him to build confidence and courage as he navigates his journey of growth.
Dax and Bubbie often spend weekends with Mike, to visit his grandfather.
Being brough up in this supportive environment, Mike has gradually learnt the importance of care and companionship. These family gatherings not only allow his grandfather to feel the love and respect of the younger generation but also strengthen their bond, fostering deeper trust and understanding.
Ali and Luana, Dax's Nepalese neighbors, share a joyful and harmonious life with their daughter, Rosanne—who is both Mike’s classmate and close friend. The couple actively participates in volunteer activities organized by Harmony House.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ali and Luana are fluent in both Cantonese and Nepali. They often assist other ethnic minority families in adapting to life in Hong Kong, sharing valuable community resources. Their efforts promote equality and inclusivity, helping more ethnic minorities feel accepted and supported within the local community.
